ABOUT ME

BACKGROUND
EDUCATION

I am a developmental psychologist and licensed clinical social worker with twenty years of experience. I have post-graduate certificates in both psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis from the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, and have had extensive training in Freudian, Object Relations, Self Psychology, Relational and Interpersonal approaches. I have taken several graduate level courses in neuropsychology, attachment, and developmental and relational trauma. My interests include relationship challenges, childhood trauma, attachment disorders, mood and personality disorders, depression and anxiety.

EXPERIENCE

I began my clinical work at Self Help Community Services, providing short-term therapy and case work to elderly survivors of the Holocaust. I later worked in child welfare, first in protective services, and later in advocacy and mental health policy. I practiced for six years at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy before beginning a private practice. I have experience working with adults across the life span. My advanced trainings include Imago therapy, sex therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy with couples, and working with LGBTQ individuals and couples.
